This is the first course all trackside railway employees must attend prior to receiving a track safety certificate that will authorise them to work on or near the operational railway under the supervision of a Controller of Site Safety (COSS).
The course is two days in duration and comprises of classroom based instruction, a site visit onto the operational railway followed by written and practical assessments.

This is a 2 day course, maximum number of candidates is 12 and must be undertaken before any further track safety training can be completed, it comprises of;

Going on to the railway
Walking in a group and working
During the work
Communicating clearly
Emergency situations
Track visit and assessment
Interactive Review Exercise (Optional)
Theory assessment
Completion of Post Course Training Objectives
