You will spend the beginning part of the day looking at the tools used in bushcraft, starting with knifes, saws and axes. You will then go on to having a look at pruning techniques, where you will get a chance to make a pot hanger and other useful utensils. Late morning we then go on to splitting techniques using a knife, axe and saw. We then break for lunch, after which you will learn the sharpening techniques to keep your tools in tip top condition. Then its time to go out and select suitable wood to construct your very own bucksaw with, using the skills and techniques that you have learnt during the day.

Over the course of the day you will learn:

- Safety with back country cutting tools
- Tool selection (the right tool for the right job)
- Pruning/Splitting techniques
- Sharpening techniques
- To produce some craft items including your very own bucksaw

This course is self catering, but there is always tea and biscuits available.

This course will be run on one day starting at 9am and finishing at 4pm.

Minimum aged is 8 years old (any under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a fully paying adult).
