Selection Process
To assess your suitability for the National Diploma in Art and Design (Fashion Clothing), the selection process will include an application. If this is successful an interview will follow, where one or more members of the course team will see you. This will allow us to gain a good idea of your self-motivation and commitment, as well as interest in the fashion industry. It will also give you an opportunity to ask questions about the course.

For entry to the National Diploma in Art & Design (Fashion Clothing), you should:

•Be at least 16 by 1st September in the year of entry
And have any of the following:

•BTEC First in Art & Design or Fashion
•Intermediate GNVQ in an appropriate vocational area
•4 GCSE passes at A-C grades or the equivalent in Fashion through experience and/or course certificates

Structure
The course is 100% coursework assessed. Projects are regularly taken in and marked with a grade and written feedback provided. These grades enable you to gauge how well you are doing on the course, and the feedback helps you to see the strengths of your work as well as the areas which you need to develop further. It covers both theoretical and practical approaches relevant to current practice in the fashion industry.
