This online Level 3 course is aimed at those who are supervising other staff within a food business – whether that be catering, manufacturing or food retailing. We would recommend that all food premises should have at least one person trained to Level 3 – particularly if they are in charge of training other staff.

The aim of this course is to provide a broad knowledge of food safety and food hygiene.

On completion of this course learners will have the appropriate knowledge and understanding to be able to:

•Take responsibility for food safety monitoring procedures
•Identify food safety hazards
•Take appropriate action in the light of these hazards
•Contribute to improvements in food safety practices


With over 500 interactive screens, this course takes approximately 8 -9 hours to complete online (depending on learning speed). As an e-learning module you can complete this training in convenient stages and revisit whenever you wish. The system will record your progress throughout and provides a detailed training record.
