North East Region session 1. NHS Reform “The implications of commissioning & Consortia

Commissioning for health and well-being - Challenges and opportunities in an era of GP-led commissioning.
Following the publication of the 2010 NHS White Paper, health and social care commissioning is likely to change dramatically with the advent of GP-led commissioning consortia. To place these developments in context, this session explores the nature and challenges of commissioning and identifies a series of key priorities for emerging consortia.
In addition to the formal input there will be plenty of time for discussion/questions and to explore these issues in plenary.
