Qualification Overview


The EDI Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events (QCF) is a qualification for individuals who are currently working or are seeking employment in Event Stewarding / Spectator Safety industry. This qualification provides candidates with the underpinning knowledge, based on the NOS for Spectator Safety, required by the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, (Green Guide), it may be used to enable the steward to work alone as a steward, however this must be followed by further training and assessment within 12 months.

Qualification Structure

To achieve the EDI Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events (QCF) learners must successfully complete all 4 units and a total of 5 credits:

How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning
How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
How stewards prepare for spectator events

Assessment Method

This qualification is assessed through multiple choice tests and assessment tasks

40 guided learning hours
