* Employment Framework in the Built Environment
* Highway Construction and Maintenance in Civil Engineering

How you will learn
The 12 units are delivered over two academic years which divide into four semesters. The units are delivered in a combination that allows the award of a qualification upon successful completion of the units covered in each semester.
The course is delivered in such a way that you will not study more than thee units at any one time. All units are delivered as a combination of formal and informal sessions, including practical and resource based learning activities with tutorial back up.
How you will be assessed
All units are assessed through assignment work completed throughout the academic year that will show how you applied the knowledge gained. Some of these assignments will be based around practical work carried out during the unit session. Assessments take the form of written reports/tasks, presentation work and practical work.
Entry Requirements
You are expected to hold a suitable Level 2 (equivalent) qualification or have suitable work experience.
Attendance
Various attendance patterns are available:
* Day release - typically one day per week over two academic years, with attendance being for 34 weeks in each year from early September to June. The day of attendance is expected to be Monday in Year 2 and Tuesday in Year 1.
* Evening only study with attendance on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
