Students will be covering all areas of business accounting from initial ledgers through trial balances and culminating in full final accounts presentation for a sole trader, partnership or limited company.
Covering 120 hours of study, with 9 in depth units, students will have access to full examples and learning materials.

This module consists of the following units:
1. Standard Accounting Practices, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
2. 2 Part unit
Double Entry Principles and preparation of ledgers/cash books and Debtors, Creditors and Trial Balances
3. 2 Part unit
Final Accounts, Cost of Goods, Profit and Loss account
and Annual Accounts, Partnership Profits, Shareholders
4. Cash Flow Statements and Financial Reporting Standard
5. Financial Ratio Analysis, Return on Investment etc.
6. Cost and Management Accounting principles
7. Labour and Financial Accounting, Payroll Management
8. Breakeven Analysis, and Cost Analysis
9. Budgets and Budgetary control
At the end of the module, students will be able to complete the basic accounting functions and analysis for their own trading entity, or will have the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to transfer to an accounting role within their employers company.
