Course Overview:
Duration – Two Days
This course is for experienced managers and is designed to develop individuals to improve their management of their teams. The programme considers the challenges facing management in the current highly competitive business environment.
Organisations have historically spent literally hundreds of thousands of pounds on new machinery, computers of equipment yet have been reluctant to invest in their people. However, like investing in more efficient machinery, investing in improving management performance is now recognised by successful organisations as an esential component of that success.
Most managers who have been in the role for sometime already have a good understanding of what is required to manage their team effectively. Good managers will regulary consider how to get their people to go the extra mile, how to retain their best staff and how they can improve motivation in the team. All these issues, and more, are covered on this advanced management training course which is designed to increase knowledge and skills for this highly demanding role.
The course uses tutorial input, discussion, individual study, group problem solving including feedback and tutor review. The tutor draws on the knowledge and experience of the group and relates the material to delegates’ individual situations so that the subject matter is highly relevant. Delegates will have the opportunity to reflect on their current practice and how they can maximise their effectiveness.
