This intensive 3-day training course will provide delegates with the knowledge and installation skills that are needed to install, terminate and test copper cabling for datacomms structured cabling data networks.

This course covers the key tasks that have to be performed on datacomms cabling that is installed within the built environment, within the premises and in an internal environment; this includes office environments, public buildings, hospitals, airports, and other types of buildings where networks are deployed.

The skills and knowledge gained can be applied to all data cabling and structured cabling, otherwise known as copper cabling, as used for commercial environments, including large office structured cabling systems and premises networks, SoHo Systems, and industrial communications cabling networks.

The course also focuses on key aspects of health and safety, the correct selection of tools, equipment and components as well as the working practices that are typically used for the
installation of network cabling and structured cabling that support the transmission of data, voice and video.

communication data cabling

• Basic electrical theory and principles with reference to

• Recommended data cabling installation procedures in
accordance with standards

• Data cable performance categories (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
