This course is aimed at training personnel who may need to train other employees in First Aid at Work and the Appointed Persons Course. This course is also suitable for trainers who wish to deliver public or in-house training as a First Aid Instructor.

The programme is designed to train delegates in First Aid training techniques enabling them to deliver in-company and/or public courses. Successful completion will enable delegates to deliver First Aid at Work and Appointed Person course (subject to continued registration) and have the basic knowledge and practical skills to deal with first aid requirements of colleagues and other people in the workplace.
The day covers:
- Introduction to the training material
- Practical demonstrations and practice
- Theoretical demonstrations and practice
- Assessment
Candidates will need to explain and demonstrate the skills required to teach first aid with 2 practical and 2 theoretical first aid sessions. Part of this delivery will be a 10 minute micro teach on a subject allocated with the joining instructions.
Successful completion will lead to certification which lasts for 3 years.
