This ILM endorsed programme covers the essential leadership skills and qualities to produce high performing teams. The course in Leadership and Team Management raises self awareness of delegates’ management and leadership skills, discusses the theory of team development, and provides an effective setting so that leadership skills can be practised in real team environments, and the new skills learned taken back to the workplace.
To conclude the course delegates will complete a 1000 -1200 word assessment to assess their understanding of the principles of team development, complete four short segment reviews, normally of no more than 250 words and with one to one feedback from the trainer, complete a Personal Development Record to use back in the workplace. Delegates will receive an ILM certificate recognising their success on passing the assessment.
On attendance on the programme delegates will be registered with the ILM and be invited to claim their free ILM membership. Membership provides continued learning about management, networking opportunities and up to date information relevant for today's supervisors and managers, via the ILM's resource centre.
This programme is for you if you are an experienced manager and want to provide more effective leadership to your team. You will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to ensure you get maximum commitment, motivation and buy-in to the team's vision, values and objectives, and produce a high performing team that requires less management and provides the clear direction of good leadership.
