Introduction to wedding photography

Our wedding photography course is designed for anyone who would like to take professional wedding shots for family or friends or as a career. This course does require you have a good understanding of your camera and you may have already attended our DSLR beginners course.

This course will teach you all of the techniques used by professional photographer to capture the magic of the special day. We will cover all of the main aspects of wedding photography including camera functions, lighting, posing/composition and timing. The course will run through the full wedding day teaching you the pitfalls you may come across and how to deal with them confidently.

There will be the full range of shots during the day including the bride getting ready, arrival of the bride and groom, mock signing the Register, Rings, the Kiss, Walking down the aisle etc. These practical exercises will give you a good understanding of the structure of the wedding day and hopefully you will be able to go away and shoot a wedding with confidence. All of the shots taken during the day can be used in your portfolio and a model release form will be provided.

• On camera and external flash
• Low light conditions Creative use of depth of field Single
• Couple and group positioning
• Examples of reportage, casual, and formal styles

You will need a DSLR for this course and also a flash gun. You will need a minimum of 8GB of memory for your camera. A tripod is also required.
