What you will study

The principles and practices of aromatherapy including client assessment, the blending of oils, consultation skills, health, safety and security in the workplace, anatomy and physiology, support employment standards.


How you will learn

Practical and theory sessions will form the 3 hour class. Assignments, case studies and portfolio building are necessary to form the evidence. Regular tutorials are given on portfolio building. Paying clients offer the students a realistic working environment.


How you will be assessed

Through continual assessment of theory and practical sessions. Practical subjects will be assessed through observations and oral questioning. Theory will be assessed through case studies, tasks and assignments. Students will build up a portfolio of evidence of work they have completed. There will also be an independent assessment paper. The course involves the student undertaking practical case studies.

Entry Requirements

A recognised qualification in body massage which includes anatomy and physiology. An interview must be attended before applicants will be offered a place.
