NVQ 2 & 3 Wall & Floor Tiling
The Construction Awards are aimed
at people with no previous
experience within the construction
industry or wishing to change trades
to gain construction skills. Enabling
them to start a new career with a full
qualification.
The Award/Diploma is a measure of
individual capabilities to carry out a
range of work to the performance
criteria, as agreed by the Industry and
The Standard setting body. The range
of work is identified within the National
Occupational Standards and is made up
of a number of units of competence
which, can be accumulated over any
period of time in any sequence.
In simple terms the Award/Diploma
enables people to get properly trained
and gain a qualification before entering
their chosen trade. Because of their
direct relationship with the NVQ the
Award/Diplomas offers the most
effective progression route to achieving
the NVQ once work based evidence can
be provided.
The Plastering & Tiling School offer the
qualification by way of a six week
practical assessment, with the
knowledge requirement achieved by
written assignments and an online test
set by CAA/Constructionskills/City &
Guilds.
The NVQ can then be achieved if
required by the submission of work
based evidence to the school once you
are working and earning in the industry.
The extra assessment evidence will be
explained during and after the
construction Diploma (a nominal cost
will apply).
