Who is this course suitable for?
This e-learning programme is designed to provide the Level 3 - First Line Manager - Award qualification, as awarded by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).
The Level 3 Award in First Line Management aims to give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level.

Units:
The programme consists of four learning modules Units covered are:
3.01 Solving problems and making decisions - 14 hours
3.04 Achieving objectives through time management - 9 hours
3.11 Building the team - 11 hours
3.32 Communicating one-to-one - 10 hours
Assessment:
- Work Based Assignments for Units 3.01, 3.04, 3.11
- Reflective Review for Units 3.32
NB: Course candidates are expected to complete their studies and assignments in a timely manner, failure to do so may result in programme termination, and/or additional administration charges.

Method of learning:
The main purpose of the award is to improve participant performance in their place of work, which for some is an end in itself. However, the qualification can be a stepping stone to future personal development and qualifications, e.g. the ILM Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in First Line Management programmes.
Achievement of this qualification will enable candidates to apply for ILM membership.
