Our 6 hour First Aid in Social Care course can be delivered at your workplace for groups between 4 to 12 employees to bring your staff up to date with the latest regulatory changes and current best prectice. Our course is developed from the latest Emergency First Aid at Work syllabus with emphasis on Health & Social Care conditions / incidents.

The course syllabus comprises of the following:
-- The role / responsibilities of First Aiders with Social care
-- Hygiene, keep yourself & the casualty safe
-- Managing an incident
-- Assessing signs & symptoms
-- How & when to use the recovery position
-- CPR
-- Action on choking with limited mobility (wheelchair)
-- Action on seizures
-- Severe bleeding / head injurine (slips, trips & falls)
-- Treatment for shock
-- Signs / symptoms of Stroke
-- Recognising heart conditions
-- Anaphylactic shock
All successful candidates receive an attendance certificate which lasts for 3 years and can be used as evidence towards City & Guilds Diploma levels 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care
