BTEC WorkSkill - Interview Skills

The main purpose of this unit is for learners to acquire the good communication skills needed for a successful interview, whether that be a job role, work placement or training course. The learner will understand the importance of answering interview questions clearly and appropriately and will know the significance of both verbal and non-verbal communication when presenting themselves to an interviewer.

The learner will be expected to:

1. Know how to present themselves appropriately in an interview

2. Answer the interviewer’s questions properly

3. Evaluate their own performance and understand their own strengths and weaknesses
