Objectives:
By the end of this course, the student will be able to:
•Examine and discuss the Foundations of Health & Safety
•Design and produce a Health & Safety policy
•Describe and define the Organisation of Health & Safety in the Workplace
•Discuss how to promote a variety of methods of promoting a positive Health & Safety Culture
•Demonstrate the completion of a risk assessment
•Describe and discuss the Monitoring, Review and Audit of Health & Safety Culture in their workplace
•Demonstrate and discuss the correct procedures for Manual Handling
•Examine and discuss work equipment
•Examine and discuss electricity safety
•Examine and discuss workplace fire safety
•Examine and discuss chemical and biological hazards
•Examine and discuss construction safety
Course Length:
10 days (block course 2 x mon-fri)
One day a week for 10 weeks

Cardiff
Newport
Swansea
