We ease you into the diploma with basic book keeping studies, sales and purchase ledger before moving up to Final Accounts 1 where you'll learn double entry book-keeping, how to maintain a nominal ledger and how to extract a trial balance. In addition, you'll learn how to create meaningful spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel and how to use Sage Line 50 so you'll be confident running computerised accounts. In addition to these core modules, you select 1 "elective" from Final Accounts 2, Microsoft Word for word processing, Windows XP or Outlook 2000 or any other Pitman Training module, self-paced or instructor-led. If you already have a high degree of skill in some of the modules, you may not need to sit them again, simply taking the test to prove your competence on your way to earning your full diploma.
