This course is the principal professional recognition of competence in asbestos testing and sampling. It will provide an introduction to occupational hygiene practice in relation to fibrous dusts, including asbestos and man-made mineral fibres, as well as the means of their risk evaluation and control. It will give an understanding of related health risks. This course concludes with a written examination, which leads to an oral examination and a certificate of competence in the completion of specific works with asbestos.
