What you will study

You will study four units:-

* Health & Safety and Welfare in Construction.
* Working in Construction.
* Developing Plumbing Skills.
* Preparation for Interviews.

You will also work towards Functional Skills qualifications in English, Maths and ICT.


Your Course Structure

Classroom: 50%; Practical: 50%

How you will learn

By carrying out practical tasks in the workshop and by classroom activities including lectures and resource-based learning.


How you will be assessed

All practical activities will be assessed in the college workshop. Theory will be assessed by continuous assessment.


Entry Requirements

Successful Interview. You will be required to complete the College's initial assessment in literacy and numeracy to a minimum of Entry 3.


Attendance

One term, full-time (17 hours per week) normally during the day.
