What you will study
NVQ units from the Construction Skills Diploma scheme at Levels 2 and 3.
Construction Skills diploma, Levels 1, 2 and 3.
Functional Skills in English and Maths to Level 2.
How you will learn
All vocational tuition is provided by industry specialists. You will combine study at College, using state-of-the-art equipment in spacious workshops, with on-the-job experience. At College you will learn through practical and theory sessions with some self study using learning packages.
How you will be assessed
You will be assessed by your tutor on completion of each unit of study. There is also an exam for the Diploma and Functional Skills.
Entry Requirements
This will be discussed at interview. However, you will need Level 1/2 literacy and numeracy qualifications as appropriate. If you do not have the relevant level of qualification, we can assess your current level of literacy and/or numeracy.
Attendance
Attendance is one day per week over 36 weeks. At level 2 this is from 9 am to 6 pm and at Level 3 the day extends to 7 pm. In additon Level 3 students are expected to attend for two block weeks, intended for September and February.
