What you will study
Four modules:
- Working Effectively and Safely in the Electrotechnical Environment
- Principles of Electrotechnology
- Application of Health and Safety and Electrical Principles
- Installation (Buildings and Structures)
Your Course Structure
Classroom: 65%; Practical: 35%
How you will learn
Formal and informal classroom based activities, private study and IT based learning. About a third of your time will be spent receiving expert tuition in the workshops gaining essential practical skills.
How you will be assessed
Assignments and multiple-choice online tests.
Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs at grade A* - D including English, Mathematics and preferably Science; selection test and interview.
Attendance
One year (36 weeks) full-time, three days per week.
