ONLINE OCR Level 2 Database Software (Ref:58509)

What you will study

You will be required to modify simple, non-relational databases, create queries using multiple selection criteria and create reports. You will develop proficiency with the software along with a sound understanding of database reporting and formatting features.

How you will learn

You will attend an Induction Session where your online tutor will explain the outline of the programme, demonstrate how to use email and give you the opportunity to start learning. You will purchase your Learning Materials which will be yours to keep and work through at your own pace, but keeping within target completion dates.

You will have regular support by email and/or telephone with your tutor who will closely monitor your progress. Additional learning materials will be emailed to you as appropriate.



How you will be assessed

You will attend one of our IT Workshops to undertake your live assessment and you will be allocated 3 hours to complete the exam. This will be marked by your Online tutor who will give you feedback on your result. This assessment will then be sent to the OCR to be externally verified.


Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements but prior completion of CLAiT Level 1 Unit 3 (Database Manipulation) or equivalent would be beneficial.


Attendance

You will only be required to attend College for the Induction Session and when you undertake the live test.
