How you will learn
This course is a mixture of theory and practical sessions. Theory is delivered through lectures, assignments, tasks and research. Our salons offer a realistic working environment and the chance to practise what you have learned on paying clients. You will be required to undertake practical case studies at home as well as in the College.
How you will be assessed
Assessment is continuous and carried out in a variety of ways:-
* Observation of practical work and oral questioning
* Practical case studies
* Theory is assessed by tasks, assignments, exam papers and case studies
* Compiling a portfolio of evidence of the work that you have completed
* Independent assessment papers
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you must be able to demonstrate an interest in this area and attend an interview.
Attendance
Tuesday 10 am to 5.30 pm and Friday 10 am to 1 pm.
