What you will study
Health & Safety, reception, facials, waxing, manicure, eye treatments and pedicure, client care and make up. Some units are subject to change.
Your Course Structure
Classroom: 40%; Practical: 60%
How you will learn
A variety of teaching and learning methods such as observing demonstrations, using online resources and hands-on experience of using beauty therapy techniques.
How you will be assessed
Assessment of your practical skills undertaken in the College salons. Written tests and oral questions. Portfolio building.
Entry Requirements
Level 1 Beauty Therapy or minimum four GCSEs grade A* - D including English. Functional Skills Maths Level 1 or equivalent. Excellent school report plus references demonstrating attitude, enthusiasm and commitment. Interview including written task.
Attendance
Part-time (daytime or two evenings per week) - one year.
