Four GCSEs at grade A* - C Maths, English and two Sciences or an appropriate Level 2 qualification. Other qualifications will be considered on merit, particularly from mature students. All students must attend an evaluation day in July.

What you will study
All students study the same subjects in the first year to give them a common engineering background. For the second year you will be able to choose between Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Your Course Structure
Classroom: 80%; Practical: 20%
How you will learn
Classroom-based theory lessons, practical sessions in the laboratory or workshop and directed assignment work. Students will need to spend a certain amount of their own time completing assignment work.

Each unit is assessed by assignments and/or tests.
