Overview
Modern business organisations are increasingly dependent on information systems and technology. In order to deliver effective solutions to business needs, it is vital that IT developers have an understanding of the way in which typical businesses operate. This course provides an understanding of common business functions, how management information can assist in planning and control of organisations and the role played in business by IT systems.

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

Recognize the strategic role played by information systems in the business world
Demonstrate an understanding of common business functions
Professional Qualification
This course is one of an integrated set of courses leading to the widely respected British Computer Society
Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) Diploma in Business Systems Development.
Optional Examination.
An optional examination can either be taken at the end of the course (depending upon demand) or on specified dates at venues across the UK. The exam consists of 15 minutes reading time followed by a one-hour “open book” written examination based upon a business scenario. The examination is charged for separately. Please contact TCC for the latest details on exam fees, dates and venues. Successful candidates are awarded the:
