Overview The Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method is the most comprehensive of structured development methods currently available. It provides a framework and specific techniques to drive the process of systems specification and design. This course describes the philosophy, principles and concepts of the method, the framework and its relationship with the development life-cycle, and an overview of the analysis and design techniques in the method. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to: Appreciate the role of a formal approach to ensuring best practice in the system development process Understand the SSADM framework and the need for specific techniques in the system development process Duration - 2 Days Professional Qualification This course is one of an integrated set of courses leading to the widely respected British Computer Society Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) Diploma in Business Systems Development Optional Examination An optional examination can be taken at venues across the UK. The exam consists of a one hour closed book written paper which will contain multiple choice questions covering the breadth of the syllabus. The examination is charged for separately.
