What you will study
The syllabus comprises four modules:-
* Marketing Essentials
* Assessing the Marketing Environment
* Marketing Information and Research
* Stakeholder Marketing
How you will learn
Formal lectures, group discussions, exercises and further reading. Students are encouraged to develop an awareness of the business environment through reading newspapers and journals, watching relevant TV and listening to radio business programmes.
How you will be assessed
Assignments, case studies and examinations. The assignments normally enable the student to apply the marketing theory and knowledge to their own work environment.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of two A Levels; general degree; CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing Level 2 or 3; NVQ or SVQ Level 3; International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 or above).
Students will need an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy to enable them to meet the requirements of independent study at this level. In the absence of formal qualifications students must be able to demonstrate appropriate levels of numeracy and literacy through the Wakefield College screening process.
