How you will learn
You will attend College one day per week (9 am to 6 pm) for two years. It is expected that the days of attendance will be Monday in Year 1 and Tuesday in Year 2 (subject to alteration). You will spend around half of your time in the College workshops refining the skills that you using in your workplace, and the other half in developing the theoretical knowledge required through classroom activities such as formal lectures, resource-based learning and practical tasks.
How you will be assessed
Assessment is continuous over the duration of the course, through both practical activity in the workshops and multiple choice theory testing. At the end of the course there will be a practical based assessment together with a final theory assessment.
Entry Requirements
To qualify for the Apprenticeship programme, candidates must have an employer willing to support the requirements of the apprenticeship framework. It is recommended that apprentices should possess four GCSEs at grade A* - C including Maths and English.
