Further Details

Organisational politics is a subject which few organisations are prepared to discuss - yet most will acknowledge that it plays a major part in the way things get done!

Why is it taboo? Politics in the workplace are often seen as negative, because there is a fine line between a 'positive manoeuvre' and a 'devious manipulation'. But some companies unwittingly create the kind of culture where 'politics' is used to get what you want. This is because their internal business processes cause competition within the company for resources, budgets, recognition etc.

This workshop removes the blinkers and provides clarity on the issues involved in organisational politics. A pragmatic model is used to identify the 'corporate animals' found in all organisations. Then, by examining motives and behaviours, you can start to create a more positive political culture.

You will receive a detailed profile of your own approach to organisational politics, so you can negotiate ‘political’ issues to achieve positive outcomes for the business.
