The Sexually Transmitted Foundation (STIF) Course has been developed by the Medical Society for the Study of Veneral Diseases to support the Department of Health’s National Strategy for Sexual Health and HIV. It aims to prepare health care workers outside the setting of Genitourinary Medicine to provide the Strategy’s Level 1 services of Sexual history and risk assessment, STI testing for women, Assessment and referral of men with STI symptoms, HIV testing and counselling.
