Introduction

Amalgam Training was established as a training company in 2010 borne out of Accident Liability management - an accident investigation company, which was founded in 1998 from Hyaccin and limited in 2001 by Dean Hyde who now heads up Amalgam Training.

The dynamic management team at Accident Liability Management envisaged a time when the Personal Injury sector would be regulated much the same as the financial services, Insurance & Legal industries.

Recognising a need for quality training within this industry, the team set about developing a course which would be the students passport to success. The course was a culmination of many facets, which meant taking every single course available within this type of industry, and learning from those training providers and making Amalgam's training course the best possible available in the UK today.

Amalgam's hunger for success has led to many agreements with recognised awarding bodies, work providers and government bodies, so that today any student of Amalgam can be assured that our training is unsurpassed.

Our commitment to our students ensures that their training will remain the best in the UK today and will continue to be our students passport to success. Amalgam has developed further into the field of Insurance Claims investigation as well as Personal Injury claims investigation & procedures.

Amalgam Training History

Dean Hyde"s career began in the London Fire Brigade in 1982 and included many facets and training including (RTC) Road Traffic Collision extraction techniques, Civil Aircraft Collision and evacuation training with CAA firefighters at both Heathrow and Gatwick. Military Aircraft Collision and evacuation training with the RAF at Manston. Underground Railway Collision and passenger evacuation with London Underground.

Whilst serving in the Fire Service Dean and Lin Hyde used an opportunity to invest funds by purchasing and managing licensed premises. The origins of Amalgam started in 1994 when both Lin Hyde (DnA Group Qualifications & Accreditation Director) and Dean Hyde (DnA Group Uk Ltd Managing Director) were involved in the licensed industry employing 47 people. Health & Safety was a big issue and such a large workforce and customers mixed provided a hot bed for personal injury claims.

Lin Hyde became heavily involved in the training of individual employees in NVQ"s and eventually left the licensed trade to become an Internal Verifier at Stafford College directly involved with the delivery of NVQ training with City & Guilds as the awarding body.

Dean Hyde was involved in Health & Safety and the investigation of Public Liability and accident in the workplace claims within the licensed trade and started his own business Hyaccin (Hyde Accident Investigation) in 1998, investigating personal injury claims.

Having a need to employ investigators Dean Hyde set about developing a training course for his own employees. Knowing that the industry would one day be regulated both Dean Hyde and Lin Hyde set about developing a course which would benefit persons entering the industry.

In 2000 the company changed it"s name to Accident Liability Management and became a limited company in August 2001. In carrying out research in to other training providers Dean Hyde attended as many courses as possible and still attends courses today to further his knowledge. Dean Hyde is an Expert Witness and on occasion has attended court in relation to Road Traffic Collisions.

Lin Hyde enjoys many adult education qualifications and both Dean and Lin Hyde are qualified NVQ assessors. In 2002 Accident Liability Management split into two companies Accident Liability Management Ltd which would concentrate on investigation and ALM Training Ltd which would concentrate on training.

ALM Training Ltd formed the College of Personal Injury Investigation in 2004 and laid the foundations as far as qualifications and accreditations are concerned which are used by ALM today. The College advanced these qualifications and accreditations to include vocational paralegal training on behalf of the Institute of Legal Executives with City & Guilds Certification at Level 3.

The College was discontinued in 2007 due to ALM being instrumental in the formulation of training in Civil & Criminal Investigation covering all disciplines within Insurance & Personal Injury Investigation. ALM reverted to it's original trading name of ALM Training Ltd and has become the only industry accredited training provider so far, to deliver a qualification at Level 4 Nationally.

Amalgam Training incorporated in 2010 after the demise of ALM Training Ltd and enjoys many accreditations thanks to Dean Hyde and his team which will give the student confidence that their investment is with an organisation which takes itself seriously and is striving to achieve top level training and support within the Insurance & Personal Injury industry.

Ultimately, every single day is different, you will be making decisions that will affect peoples lives, some in a positive way, because your investigation has led to them receiving compensation for their injuries, some not so positive because as a result of your investigation a fraudulent claim has not proceeded.
