Further Details

Value the Person is a radical business strategy, developed in the USA in response to the perceived shortcomings of Total Quality Management, and launched two years ago in Europe as the “Value of the Person International” initiative.

Going beyond the principles of Deming and Baldrige, Value the Person seeks to create a business strategy, an organisational mindset, a culture and the individual leadership skills which will fully engage and empower staff.

Recent research by Buckingham and Coffman (First Break All The Rules) shows a direct correlation between a Value the Person strategy and increased profitability, productivity, customer satisfaction and employee loyalty. Individual experience confirms this:

“The future prosperity of business will depend on the recruitment and retention of the best people. The ‘Value the Person’ project is a catalyst which will make it happen.” Colin Young, Partner, Ernst and Young, 2001

“ Following the adoption of ‘Value of the Person’ our success was dazzling: customer relations were world class; employee relations ranked first in the company; profits soared; we were ranked best in the industry by Automotive News.” Joe Kordick, Retired VP, Ford Motor Co
