As organisations become increasingly aware of the true costs of recruitment, it is all to easy to rush into a recruitment process using ‘tried and tested’ methods and with insufficient planning and preparation.
Too often, this approach can result in wasted time, money and resources if it leads to recruiting and training unsuitable staff, or people who quickly move on to other roles/ employers before you see a return on your investment.
The best way to overcome these issues is to hone your recruitment and development processes through the introduction of a competency framework. This involves an evaluation of the current functionality and skill sets required to perform the key/core tasks for a role or series of roles.
This event takes you right back to the beginning of the process and explains how to set up both generic and functional competencies for your organisation. It then shows how a competency framework can be used both in recruitment (pre-screening, behavioural-based interviewing, assessment centres etc.) and developing existing staff (development centres and career pathing).
