This update course is for School Designated Head teachers and Teachers for child protection and designated Governors for child protection who have already undertaken the level 3 Child Protection Officer and the basic Child Protection Level 1 Course within the last 3 Years

Safeguarding children: a shared responsibility will enable those whose work brings them into contact with children and families to: understand what to do when they have a concern about a child’s welfare know how to work as part of a multi-agency or multi-disciplinary team be clear about roles and responsibilities understand statutory requirements and how to apply them. This is the level 3 Child Protection Officer Update Training Course.

Head Teachers, School Governors, Teachers, Head of Years, Child Protection Officers, Children Homes Manager / Deputies, Head of Cares and those with pastoral care responsibilities. Groups 3,4,5,6,7 & 8 as outlined in the Working Together to Safeguard Children (March 2010), Section 11 of the Children Act 2004, section 175 of the Education Act 2002 and section 55 of the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009
