Summary: The module provides a background and overview of the risk of legionella infection and how it can be controlled in domestic type hot and cold water systems. This course is a pre-requirement before undertaking the P902 course 'management and control of evaporative cooling systems and other high risk systems.
Qualification: On successful completion delegates will be able to demonstrate management and control in the knowledge of the origins of legionella, identification of the main conditions that need to cincide for legionella infection to take place, an awareness of legal requirements and implementation of legionella control regimes.
