Further Details

How often do we hear the term “flavour of the month” used to describe a new improvement initiative? Why another one? Organisations buy off-the-shelf solutions, the “silver bullet” approach, only to find that everything soon returns to the way it was before. The reason has less to do with the chosen solution and more to do with failing to do the groundwork before moving to a more advanced solution.

Many companies put great effort and resource into applying the most advanced improvement techniques. But, without first implementing basic workplace structure, organisation and control, it is unlikely that improvement will be sustained.

This event helps delegates to gain a broad understanding of process management and to develop low cost ways of generating process involvement across the business.

It has been developed from last year’s “Developing and Auditing Standards”. It has had some of the standards and auditing elements removed or shortened and elements of process and team working added.

 Techniques for developing and setting standards
