The course will examine the role of the project manager and the structure of a project and the project team. Students will learn about the project planning process, how to set project aims and objectives, budgeting and how to employ a variety of useful project planning tools. Risk analysis and management will also be covered.

Project Management in Practice: Construction of a project plan, identifying appropriate milestones, an appropriate budget, and consideration of effective project review.
Risk analysis and management: Consideration of some of the basic tools and techniques of risk assessment and management
