Further Details
It’s easy to forget the huge impact that Coaching had when it was first used in business around 15 years ago:
Individuals’ different learning styles were recognised
Demonstration, participation and interaction were finally recognised as vital training/teaching components
The real experts (those doing the job now) were empowered to teach trainees and successors
Continuous learning and continuous feedback became part of the training process
But while Coaching techniques are now vital tools for anyone in a full-time training role, many managers and team leaders still do not know or use those skills.
This workshop will help anyone who has to supervise, train or manage others - showing how to guide learners to think resourcefully with respect to their own goals. Delegates will discover how to change staff perceptions of the learning process. This will increase their confidence, and ensure more effective training and a positive response from staff.
This is a practical and highly participative day, starting with setting up a coaching relationship and ending with reviewing and giving feedback on performance.
