First Aid at Work Re_Qualification
This 2 day course is designed to refresh those who hold a current first aid at work certificate and covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace, and complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice L74 guidelines for the re-qualification of workplace first aiders.

By the end of the course students will be able to:

•Demonstrate how to administer CPR effectively to a casualty
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty who is unconscious
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty with burns and scalds
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty with injuries to bones and soft tissue
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty with a suspected spinal injury
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty who is in shock
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty with eye injuries
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty with poisoning
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty suffering from anaphylactic shock
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty who is suffering a major illnesses (heart attack, epilepsy, diabetes, stroke)
•Demonstrate how to administer first aid promptly and effectively to a casualty who has suffered a head injury
•Demonstrate and understand the personal hygiene in first aid procedures
•Understand the legal framework of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
•Demonstrate the use of first aid equipment provided in the workplace
•Understand the role of first aiders in emergencies
