This course covers the basic skills for collection of venous blood samples from the arm and incorporates the competencies set out in the CHS132, the National Occupational Standard for Phlebotomy written by Skills For Health.

On successful completion delegates will be equipped with the underlying theory and skills to gain competence under clinical supervision by a practitioner in their own workplace.  The course is ideal for health care support workers, nurses, occupational health consultants and those working within health care who wish to improve their skills and competencies.
