The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health course provides a nationally recognised qualification for specialists in Occupational Health and Safety enabling them to gain corporate membership of IOSH.

The programme consists of 3 separate training modules, covering a total of 35 days and a 3-day pre exam workshop. Delegates are examined through the completion of one single assignment (8000 words) covering all units of the programme and one exam (3 hours) for each unit.

• Chemical agents – Evaluating risk.
• Hazardous substances – monitoring and maintenance of control measures.
• Biological agents.
• Physical agents – Noise and Vibration.
• Physical agents – Radiation and Thermal.
• Psychosocial agents.
• Ergonomic agents.

Module 3 – Workplace and Work Environment (2 x 1 week blocks)

• General Workplace issues.
• Principles of Fire and explosion.
• Workplace Fire precautions.
• Chemical Process safety.
• Work equipment.
• Machinery safety.
• Mechanical handling.
• Electrical safety.
• Safety in Construction and Demolition.
• Environmental Pollution and Waste management.

Exam workshop (3 days)

• Covers revision of each unit with questions and exam techniques.
