Pet behavioural problems are the main reasons for the abandonment and euthanasia of otherwise healthy animals at shelters internationally. Tragically, the majority of these problems could have been corrected or avoided. The main goal of this course is to enable students to inform and advise pet owners on how to prevent or resolve behavioural problems in pets before their owners' tolerance are love and lost.
Students obtaining 70% or more marks in the final examination receive the BSY Diploma and are entitled to use the letters BSY (Pet Psy.) after their name.
