How does it work?
The NVQ Level 2 in BIT is suitable for those who work within teams and require a basic understanding of business improvement techniques.

The process pathway has five mandatory units:
Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
Contributing to effective team working
Applying workplace organisation
Applying continuous improvement techniques
Creating visual management systems.
There is also one additional optional unit to be chosen from:

Analysing and selecting parts for improvements
Carrying out lead time analysis
Applying set-up reduction techniques (SMED)
Applying total productive maintenance (TPM)
Applying problem solving techniques
Carrying out statistical process control procedures (SPC)
Applying flow process analysis
Carrying out potential failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
Carrying out measurement systems analysis (MSA)
Carrying out mistake / error proofing (Poka Yoke)
Creating standard operating procedures.

Who is this course for?

Workshop Aims
Each candidate will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques certificate on completion of the required units.

To achieve this qualification candidates do not have to leave their workplace and there are no set deadlines for completion. Candidates will be asked to perform tasks that are part of their usual working day, as well as ones that aren’t, that way you will feel confident on all areas of your job.
