This programme is a City & Guilds qualification specifically for those working in the further education (post 16) sector.
The programme is designed to provide those who are working in the area of essential skills (literacy and numeracy) and would like to gain a recognised quailfication that will enable them to teach essentail skills.
The programme also consists of a minimum 15 hour teaching practice, which the candiate is responsible for acquiring before the start of the programme. There are also 9 assignments that need to be completed throughout the programme.
The programme is spread over a period of 9 class based sessions on a fortnightly basis.
