Performing Manufacturing Operations - NVQ Level 2

Programme: This NVQ at Level 2 covers a range of manufacturing processes which are common to a variety of industries and sectors. It is suitable for operators engaged in a wide range of production / operational processes. Confirmation of competence is assessed via a series of on the job observations each with a review and is carried out during normal working hours.
Units: The qualification includes training which could be in the following areas; workplace organisation, the identification and elimination of waste, operational effectiveness, team work & communication and improvement & productivity. Or can be agreed by the company to meet internal requirements.
Length: Typically up to 20 weeks (depending on individual circumstances & company requirements)
Target: Any staff on the shop floor involved in production & operations
Enrolment Session: 2.5 hours (max 12 per group)
Other Sessions: Training sessions on the necessary tools & techniques, 3 x on the job assessments & review
