This one-day course in Emergency First Aid has been developed for volunteers & employees who are responsible for the supervision of children within a school environment. The aim of this course is to provide nominated persons with a sound knowledge and understanding of emergency first aid procedures when dealing with children & adults, along with the ability to recognise & treat certain conditions and illnesses.
Although the majority of first aid procedures are similar to those used in adult First Aid, there are differences in the protocols for Resuscitation, Choking, Casualty Handling & Incident Management for children. Subject to ongoing assessment, all delegates will receive a certificate of attendance, Appointed Person - Emergency First Aid in the Workplace, valid for a period of 3 years.
First Aid compliance is not as expensive as you may think. It does not matter how small your business is, you are obliged to provide some form of first aid provision based on a risk assessment of the workplace environment and duties carried out by your employees.
